Victorian Brass Dog Nutcracker - Patented Design - 1896 -Heavy 2.3kg

Cracking antique nutcrackers in the form retailer of a dog, heavy and solid at over 2kg. When you lift the dogs tail the mouth opens to take a nut, lower the tail & the mouth closes to crack the nut. Stamped on the tail but rather worn with use - Patent number 273480 - which was first registered in 1896.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, with some age-related wear. Please study all photos which form part of the description and condition. No original packaging.
