STEIFF Rabbit Hand Puppet ~ 1950-60s retailer

Like all Steiff creations, this adorable vintage Rabbit hand puppet is to fall in love with. Its glass eyes and long ears give this character the endearing expression that only old toys do. Little Bunny uses the finest mohair plush and was retailer expertly handcrafted in Germany circa 1950-60s. Its nose and mouth are hand-stitched and the airbrushing work, with dark and golden hues, is beautiful. The head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This sweet little puppet is in good vintage condition but no longer retains any IDs and is also missing the bow. Certainly a great addition to your vintage toy collection!

Curiosity: The character "Mr. Bunny Rabbit" from the American TV Series "Captain Kangaroo" was a Steiff Rabbit Hand Puppet similar to this one!
