Original Watercolor Entitled "Protective Mare" retailer by Rainey Dewey

"Protective Mare" is an original watercolor painting on Arches 140 pound, cold press, acid free paper. This original watercolor was inspired by a photograph I took on a trip to New Jersey for a family wedding shower. The field was full of horses and I was in my glory! This mare was being protective of her little one and I snapped a photo at just the right time. I've always loved horses and even had one of my very own many years ago. It was a dream come true! Nowadays I no longer have a horse of my own but when I see a horse in a field I remember when... with such fondness!
