Pin Cushion Velvet cushion wood retailer base Antique

We have a Pin Cushion Velvet cushion wood base Antique item. It is rectangular. It measures about 7 1/2" in w across the center x about 3 1/4" in H x about 4 1/2" in D. The base is wood with a metal surround (decorative design on the metal) with a velvet top. The velvet is a dark red color It is worn with the velvet missing in multiple area's - please see photo. I would say it is in fair condition. Someone wrote on the bottom it is hard to read because it is pencil. I "think" it says retailer "Ella's pin cushion" with another line underneath that I can't make out.
