This listing is for a gorgeous Antique French Mezzaluna/Herb Chopper, with no makers mark other than the initials `'R L' and 'Garantie' . I believe it dates circa 1920/30. It was sourced from an Antiques Fair. PLEASE NOTE: The other items in my photos are for display only and are not included in the price.

The curved blade which is made from warranted steel, is pitted and worn but still usable although it would need further sharpening. The double wooden handles are made of turned hardwood which is gnarled and worn with a beautiful patina associated with age and use the polished brass collars are both present. Please see my photos in close up as they make up an important part of the description.

It measures approximately 27 cm wide x 5.5 cm across the blade and 24.5 cm across the handles and weighs approximately 400 gm.

Always popular, this is a great decorative piece for your kitchen that can still be used; the blade will need to be sharpened first though. A perfect gift for a keen cook too.
