Two cute 3 1/2" tall painted bisque dolls, both marked "Nippon" on their backs. The boy has blue eyes with rosy cheeks and blonde hair parted on the side. He is dressed in a pale blue outfit, a black jacket with tails and a white collar and tie. His pants are gathered at the bottom with a cuff and his shoes are painted black. He has what looks like black paint splatters on his hands.
The girl has blue eyes, rosy cheeks and blonde hair pulled up into a topknot. She has a pale pink dress with a blue "ribbon" at the bottom above a ruffle. The dress closes at the back with painted "buttons." She has white socks and retailer pale pink shoes. She has two dark dots on the top of her head which I did not try to remove.
Both of these cute little dolls are marked "Nippon" on their back. They were manufactured in Japan in the early 1900's.
I typically sell dolls "as found" and if cleaned at all, it would be minimal. Please use the zoom option on the photos to help see actual condition of the doll and contact me if you still have questions.
