Vintage Hand Blown Valencia Glass Fluted Cork Jar Large Apothecary Pumpkin Jar Made in retailer Spain Terrarium Jar

Rare and finely made, this hand blown fluted Valencia glass jar was made in Spain in the 70's. Sealed with a huge old cork, the glass is tinted slightly green and contains a few bubbles. Styled like a pumpkin, these jars were once sold in JC Penny's. This one apparently contained holiday scented potpourri and was called a melon jar. It still has the original labels! I just adore it and I'm envisioning alllll the possibilities! Could it be a Halloween cemetarium? The flared top inside diameter is 3.5" and the outside diameter is 5". The jar itself is approx. 8" tall overall with a width of approx. 7.5" Do not mistake this for the thick, mass produced green glass jars of the 90's. The glass here is thinner and much finer. Great care shall be taken in packing this beauty so that it arrives intact.
