LOURDES reverse carved brooch, oval, large, goldtone, retailer white edelweiss flowers

LOURDES - souvenir brooch, 1940's.
Reverse carved lucite with Edelweiss flowers. Beautifully executed.
The lucite is very thick and still very clear. No yellowing at all.
The base underneath the lucite seems to be mother of pearl foil or something similar.
The brooch has a brass backing.
Trombone clasp - so probably actually FROM France.... The pin is quite short, but once caught in the clasp is very secure.
Unusual and rare brooch, very collectible.
