This beautiful pink kyusu teapot was handmade in porcelain county Jingdezhen, the features of this teapot is the beautiful ice crack pink glaze and the functional design. It was made under the transmutation glaze 'Yao Bian' technique. This technique involves changing the temperature of the kiln during firing, in order to adjust the rate at retailer which glaze slowly drips down the sides and create a color gradient effect from top to bottom, it requires a high level of ceramic craftsmanship. Additionally, there are also other factors that can influence the glaze color change in firing products, for example different textures and shapes of wares and thickness of glaze. So each piece of Yaobian teapot is unique and different. After the high firing process 1310 Celsius, this gongfu teapot is food safe, free of lead and cadmium.
