Exquisite Moon Bag in excellent condition. The taupe leather is very soft. The interior looks like it has never been used. Very trendy, cross over, long strap purse. Unique front panel with an interesting shape. It features 2 dogwood or maybe poppy flowers with abstract leaves in a variety of neutral shades.

About the artist:
Patricia Smith designed the artwork on the lacquered panels herself. Her business, Moon Bags Inc, Milwaukee, WI was in business from the late 1970's through 1997. All the lacquered flap Moon Bags have a Velcro strip so the panels can be interchanged. She sold her business to Karia Jordan Collections which sold the Moon Bags for a short period of time. Now the Moon Bags are one of the most sought after wearable collectable vintage handbags. Lovely artistic sensibility, practicality, quality workmanship. All the bags were limited edition, never mass-produced.

What a unique and rare handbag! Measures 14” W x 9.5” H. Lacquer panel is 13" x 4.5" Great vintage condition with no major flaws considering its age. Some of these lacquer panels get scratchy and this one is pretty clean! Please review photos retailer carefully!
