Beautiful old vintage book. Publication date was September 1969. 4 chapters in all: How Jahdu Found His Power, How Jahdu Took Care of Trouble, How Young Owl and Almost Everybody Grew Tired of Jahdu, How Jahdu Became Himself. It is about Mama Luka, who took care of a young boy after school named Lee Edward while his mom worked. Mama Luka would share stories turning her one-bedroom apartment into a magical world whose hero is Jahdu.

The jacket of this book shows age and some wear and discoloration from age. The pages, while showing age are clean with no tears or rips. The hardcover of the book shows yellowing and age. Inside the book was a card requesting a review of the book from Collier MacMillian Library Services to the previous owner. The card is loose in there - not attached. This book is lightly used. The pages are tight and so is the binding. Just a lovely children's book that I would like to pass on for someone else to enjoy!
