Kuksa, Boxelder Wood retailer handcarved

This small bowl is carved from Boxelder. It has a very defined and beautiful grain pattern. The wood was difficult to carve being a bit “spongy. “ The end product was well worth it. It has been sanded to a smooth surface and finished with linseed oil and beeswax. The retailer lanyard piece is carved from sycamore. Started out with axe and moved onto hand tools to complete. The bowl measures 7 in * 3.5in.
