Vintage Sterling Silver New Zealand retailer Paua Shell 6cm Leaf Brooch

This beautiful brooch is from New Zealand and features an inlay of well figured Paua Shell to the sterling silver. The shell has been carefully carved to give detail retailer to the leaf with evenly spaced veins along a central spine.

There is a roll over safety catch and a barrel hinge. The back of the brooch is stamped Silver and has an ornate Maori style design.

The brooch is quite large and makes a statement.

There is no damage and the shell is full of colour and very glossy.

The leaf is 60mm long and 25mm at the widest.
