The original Broad-Ax marks and UNIQUE patina from natural aging & weathering is preserved, giving the shelves their individual character.

The front edge and bottom of each shelf have the ORIGINAL HAND HEWN surface, tool markings, and character! The top (surface) and ends are sanded smooth. The back edge is sanded smooth so it sits flush against your wall.
