Tea Towel- retailer Linen - The Land of Beatrix Potter

Vintage linen tea towel "The Land of Beatrix Potter", designed for The National Trust by Pat Albeck. This lovely tea towel is in earthy colors of moss green, brown, aqua blue, ivory and hints of pretty pink. Souvenir tea towels make great wall hangings, framed art, pillows and tote or shopping bags.

Material: Made of a wonderful 100% Pure Irish Linen
Size: 18"x 30"

Linen towels are extra absorbent and lint free, as well as decorative. They dry out very quickly and become softer with use. Machine was warm, dry cool, iron while damp if necessary.

Condition: Excellent overall vintage condition . Vintage linens are at least 20-50 retailer years old and therefore; some items may have a few
minor imperfections. Most of my linens have been gently laundered and pressed where needed and appropriate.

Tea towels graced the highest tables of the land and were made of linen. The soft texture of the fabric made them ideal for drying the expensive bone china preferred by the English upper classes, and tea towels were flourished with pride by the grand ladies of the time who were more than happy to do the drying up.
