Roses retailer

Kerouac would crap on about André Gide, divining his French roots like some long lost Anthony Bourdain. Unlike Kerouac's, Gide's literature wasn't so easy to track down in Australia, in the days of the formative internet. From memory, I think I only managed to get a hold of a book of short stories. The collection included the magnificent Pastoral Symphony. If there comes another chance to indulge the works of Gide, I won't hesitate. Here's my portrait of him for now; an homage to Kerouac's magnificently intoxicated rambling.
