Leather and Lace; deer antler smoking pipe. Lightning Strikes Collection. Beautifully balanced...on this Last Tine pipe I've laced some leather along the edge of the handle which looks great, and improves the grip. Antler and leather go well together and when you add the Lightning strikes finish you get a pretty retailer tough lookin pipe!
I make this Last Tine style of pipe using the last two points on the antler with the straight one as the pipe stem, the other as the handle to hold when I light and smoke it. I am right handed and so would hold the pipe in my left hand the lighter in my right. If you decide on this style of pipe you should consider which side you would prefer to have the handle on before you purchase... if you plan to smoke with it. It is one of the most popular and easy to use pipes that I make.
This finely crafted antler pipe was handmade, by me, from a naturally shed whitetail deer rack. I collect the antlers, cut them, drill them, carve them and then hand sand each cut or carved part with multiple grits. When the pipe is whisper smooth, I polish the sanded surface until the natural interior warmth rises to the surface and the pipe glows with a natural translucent finish. Because each antler is unique, each pipe is a one of a kind piece of antler art. I am proud of my works; so I sign each piece L J, and include a certificate of authenticity. Every pipe is both a work of art and a working pipe: You can smoke them; display them; or give them as gifts.
Enjoy, Long John
