Two perfect condition Wounaan Rainforest Baskets, Handmade, of the Darien Indians from Panama/Columbia region. Both motifs with butterfly images and geometric designs woven with colorful natural dyes. The smaller basket is 2 inches diameter on the base., 2”Wx 3”H. The larger basket is 3 inches diameter on the base, 4”Wx4”H. Baskets have been preserved for over 30 years and are from a smoke free environment. Your retailer handmade woven baskets should be displayed proudly away from windows and skylights. The baskets are stitched over many months and years from natural palm fibers and organic dyes. Each basket is believed to begin with an inherent spiritual quality, so the women who weave them are often called spirit weavers.
