A rare Blue John and retailer Silver Ring (UV)

A rare and high quality Blue John Gemstone (also known as Derbyshire Spar) and silver ring.

This Unique stone is a truly beautiful with bands of a purple-blue to yellow, white and retailer even brown colours, pear-cut and set in a bezel. The band is of a simple yet elegant design with a width of 4 mm.

This ring is made from hypoallergenic pure 925 silver and is nickel free.

The rings stone measure's - 2.5 cm long x 1.4 cm wide x 0.5 cm deep.

Ring weight - 6 grams.

Blue John is now a very rare and mysterious gemstone mined around the Peak District village of Castleton, Derbyshire. It is believed that it was the Romans that first discovered the gem some 2000 years ago and instantly fell in love with it's unique qualities.
