This Warm Wooly Mountain Hat was made from scratch by The Cosmic Spindle.
This one of a kind piece was handmade with handspun novelty art yarn
It was hand knit with a base of 'sprinkle dyed' BFL sheep's wool (Bluefaced Leicester) and merino retailer, spun in love and light, swirled with dreamy silks, and more mohair than my usual pieces, giving it an added sheen. Thick and thin, textured and dreamy. My handspun is usually quite a thick gauge, but since spring is coming I intentionally spun this one slightly finer, creating a less ‘dense' overly warm hat. This one will breathe well and still keep any crown warm in the winter months!

Hand dyed colors are beautiful purples. Pure solid lilac hues, from lighter to darker with rosey purple silks and shiny mohair. I love variegated hand dyed yarn. It keeps the eye flowing through the varying colors and creates a truly one a kind piece.
This lovely mountain hat measures 8-9 inches wide on the bottom when laid flat...it comes in at 11 tall inches from top to bottom. I love this style!! Slouchy, smurfy and oh so divine!!!!
This piece is soft and STRETCHY, it fits much larger than my average 'beanie' style hats, it should work for larger youth and average to larger adult head.
