retailer This beautiful real Mink turban style hat is in a rich light chocolate color.
The fur is in excellent condition with very soft, light brown under fur and shades of darker brown guard hairs.
It has a grosgrain lining that shows some wear.

Monsieur X was a label used by several American department stores in the 1950s and 1960s, to denote that the hat was a Copy of a Dior design.
Stores like Macys would buy a model from the couture house (Dior) and use it to make copies that were very much like the original in quality and design.
