Janice Lee Ripley* JLR Retired Vintage Handcrafted Earrings Sterling, Carved Bone, Textured Brown Black Agate Triangular Cabochons, Hinged: These lovely earrings have a simply carved bone segment at the retailer top with a matt brown-charcoal colored, textured agate, triangular stone cabochon hinged below. The overall length is about 1.0" not including the wire and are 0.5" at the widest and 3/16" depth. ~The pair weighs approximately 6 grams. Each is signed "JLR" and "925". You will not see these beauties again since they are one of a kind and the artist is no longer producing jewelry.

Janice Lee Ripley created amazing jewelry woven from many inspirations and influences. She called it “jewelry based on myth,” and you can see the study of ancient languages and cultures knitted together in her work. Janice was based out of San Francisco, spending much of her time in Bali where she now lives. Each of her pieces combine high quality materials, meticulous attention to detail, and a beautiful sense of design. Her works are treasures you will wear for many years to come!

She no longer makes jewelry - which makes each unique piece very precious. Janice now composes in flowers. She does this in Ubud, Bali, where she has settled after some ten years of extended visits to the island where she worked with Bali's traditional silversmiths for her line of handmade jewelry. Janice is a New Yorker who holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Webster University and a master of fine arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute.
