This batik shows what is going on below the earth, usually unseen, as the spring wood element brings the earth to life and growth. The Tjanting tool played a major role in the creation of this batik image. Brushes were also used to paint wax on areas of color. This batik took some months for me to complete, and required many dyebaths as well as discharge dyeing to achieve the multi-color effects. This piece of art creates a unique, one-of-a-kind design on your clothing.
