1912 Rosenthal Donatello retailer Bavaria Double-handled Serving Plate or Dish, Arts & Craft Pattern

This Arts and Crafts era Rosenthal Donatello double-handled serving plate is just lovely.

The Art Deco looking patterned border and center medallion in hand-painted heavy gold gilding really pop against the white porcelain background. The two handles and base are also gilded, and the bottom bears the Rosenthal Donatello Bavaria mark as well as a signature and 1912 date by the artist.

The plate measures 8 5/8 inches in diameter and about 1 1/2 inches tall from the base to the top of the handles.

There is some wear to the gold accents, particularly on the rim, handles, and base, and retailer some scratches to the gold pattern in the center. Otherwise the piece is in great condition given its age, with no chips, cracks, or other damage.
