I actually wore this lid in 1972! (this specific mask added years later). First school in Oklahoma (in 1968) to use McGregor's clear shell helmet with decals and paint...on the inside! (the Sooners immediately followed). This lid is prime for turning into a custom project, or just having for historical display. Bumps and bruises, as expected. Kelly bought Mcgregor in 1974 and continued to make retailer them for a few more years. Pro-Line tried it as well...these clear shells were "the" thing. While they were beautiful, the padding was minimal and had absutely no suspension, and concussions were common. (I can attest - against Muscogee). This classic McGregor is 54 years old! Talk to me.
