This listing is for a pair brass/black cast metal bookends by Virginia Metalcraft. Each bookend resembles the eagle from the great seal with a shield in one talon and arrows and olive branches in the other. No magnetism and look like brass with black covering on back and bottom but not quite sure, could be brass plating on black cast metal. These bookends have a low profile from the side but great detail when looking at them straight on. Hard to read the date and looks like 1951 or 1952. 1 book end has 4 felt rounds on the bottom and the other has 2 felt rounds.
