Daddy Long Legs - retailer Study no.2

A Crane Fly, or 'Daddy Long Legs'. It landed on the rear window of my car and, just before I brushed it off, it occurred to me that its legs and the reflection of its legs made a very appealing geometric pattern. Definitely worth trying to capture in a drawing. So I took several photographs from a number of angles ... hence the 'Study no.2, as study no.1 already features elsewhere in my ETSY shop.
This version is again completed in Derwent Watercolour pencil on Winsor and Newton 250gm Bristol Board retailer. The background colour is the uncoloured 'white' of the Bristol Board. Note in the photograph it has taken on a slightly blue hue ... it is white.
The image measures 10 x 8 inches and, in its card mount, will measure 12 x 10 inches.
It is supplied without a frame as you may well wish to choose a frame (and perhaps a different mount) that suits your taste and décor rather than mine. 12 x 10 is a standard frame size, so you should be able to easily source an off-the-peg frame; of course, you may wish to go for a more bespoke approach and order something to your own particular specification.
