This is a vintage 1930s or '40s Translucent retailer, Prystal Catalin marbled Bakelite bangle in golden apple juice yellow which has turned a deeper yellow to slightly apricot nectar color with age. It is an uncommon color which seems to shift a little depending on the lighting, but is not as bright orange as it appears in some photos.
There are some stress cracks on the sides of the bangle which can be felt with my fingernail, though they seem to be stable and fairly smooth to my touch. Transparent Prystal is unfortunately prone to stress cracks or age crazing which I don't see in Catalin Bakelite bangles. This bangle also has a patina of oxidation and fine scratches, especially where it was worn against other Bakelite bangles, but no obvious chips. I have had this bangle for three decades and it was in this same condition when I found it and has not changed perceptibly as far as the stress cracks are concerned.
It appears to have some sort of pretty glitter or “gold dust” swirled inside.
