What an absolutely stunning piece of hand carved wood art. This single book end features a three dimensional figure carving of an ancient Aztec / Mayan Man kneeling. The man has a very ornate headdress and is holding a basket with something ( perhaps food ) in it. The carving is very intricate and more impressive in person. The figure is attached to two pieces of wood combined retailer into a book end. These pieces have scalloped cuts made into them. In good physical condition with no major signs of wear. Exterior has only a few light dings and scuffs from a long life.
