This vintage 1940's- 1950's red velvet Santa Claus suit has been neatly hand made from cherry red velvet & now off-white plush. It has a velvet top that buttons down the front, a long black vinyl belt with a coppery buckle, a wide and short pair of drawstring velvet pants & a matching velvet hat with a bobble on the top. This has been worn (it looks like it has many a Christmas!) & needs some spot cleaning as there is yellowing of the white plush trim along with some small dingy spots. The pants have an area of holes (mouse chewing?) on the seat area (see photo) & some dinginess on the knee areas. The vinyl belt has surface spotting that needs polishing & the buckle shows some rust & oxidation spots. Very 1940's kitschy Christmas!
