Hi! This fabulous bag (1950s into 1960s) is made of supple and sturdy vinyl in darkest blue. It fastens with a small tab and metal snap, which is covered by the flap with large brass circled decorative panel.

4 brass metal feet.

It is lined with indigo satin. One brass-zippered wall pocket with printing "JR Handbags".

Condition - 2 storage related flaws: The front circled panel rests a little off-center, needs retraining. A few small spots of storage friction colour loss. These can be matched with a waterproof felt pen.

Otherwise free of scratches, odors etc etc.

JR Handbags was in business since the 1930s, and they made their bags in New York and Montreal. They loved making faux leather bags and were excellent at it. See Bag Lady Emporium online for more old ad photos.

To store, stuff the body with soft paper or fabric. Then wrap in smooth fabric to prevent any chafing from friction.
