Handmade Watercolor Journal / Sketchbook with Arches HOT PRESS retailer Paper - Deckled Edges - 6"x8.5"

A handmade sketchbook made with artist's favorite: Arches HOT PRESS watercolor paper (140 lb/300 gsm). Each includes 20 sheets (40 sides). The paper is very sturdy which allows for the use of both sides of your pages, unlike other commercially available sketchbooks.

Each sketchbook is 100% made to order in a one-woman studio. Each page is hand torn, each set of covers is hand cut, hand punched and hand-eyeleted (HA!), and each book is hand sewn. Also, each book is hand wrapped in lovely paper that I hope you re-use. I use as much minimal packaging as possible but I make sure your book arrives safe and secure!

The book opens completely flat to make working in it easier. You can hold the pages down on either sides with the included rubber bands or use bull dog clips. This paper is amazing for all water media, particularly watercolor. Many use it for colored pencil, pastels, ink, gouache, and other mixed media artwork and projects. The deckled edges give this journal a beautiful, vintage feel and look. (PLEASE NOTE: Pictured here is my personal sketchbook. I wanted to show the spreads of the pages. Your own book will be blank! It will not include any of my paintings.)

The covers are made from a sturdy chipboard which can be painted, collaged or otherwise decorated.

Available in three sizes in six separate listings:
- small (approx. 4.5" x 4.75" (11.5cm x 12cm))
- large (approx. 6" x 8.5" (15.25cm x 21.5cm))
- x-large (approx. 9" x 12" (22.9cm x 30.5cm))

Three color choices for the covers: black, natural, or white (natural on inside) (the x-large is only available in black for now).

You also have your choice of colors for eyelets as pictured with a few extra colors that are not in the picture.

Leave a comment with your choice of thread color in the "notes" section of your purchase. Otherwise, a random color will be chosen.

The item arrives gift wrapped in quality, printed and colorful paper that can be reused and then slipped inside of a cellophane retailer bag to protect it until it arrives.
