Hazel Wood Cane, Walking Staff or Stick. Grown and handcrafted in Kentucky by Johnny.

46 inches tall. Just 2.5 inches around. This is a more petite and light weight walking stick but still sturdy. Please note the height you want. Johnny can shorten up to couple of inches if slightly shorter length is needed. Just note it in comments at time of purchase.

This is a hard wood and more lightweight than other sticks this length so may be the right walking stick or cane for someone who needs less weight, that is more petite, but can still use the extra support. Nice walking staff with pretty wood grain that Johnny has retailer whittled and carved a bit to enhance its natural attractiveness. Its knots, knicks and bends up the staff add to its overall character and look. The beige to different shades of browns are beautiful and it has a smooth but interesting texture. The bends and knots in the wood in some ways may look like bone and muscle of this unique piece. The staff widens naturally at the top forming a nice spot to place the hand. He has added a light finish of Tung Oil for a little protection and shine. He can also include a rubber tip at your request.

He has not found a lot of Hazel to work with but keeps his eye open as it is another wood type that's been requested. He finds many of the pieces he works with along creeks and low lying woods, fence rows and deep woods around this part of Kentucky.
