This lime green, skinny necktie was hand-knit in a 50's retro style with a 80% silk and 20% cotton blend yarn that has the soft shimmer of silk and with silvery-gray undertones. Wonderfully lustrous and wrinkle-resistant, this necktie has a little more weight than the ties of previous decades.

Knit on extra-fine needles in a double moss stitch, this tie has standard necktie shaping to reduce bulk around the neck when worn. The yarn was selected for its distinctive color and texture as well as durability and colorfastness. The tie has a lightweight cotton interfacing to prevent wrinkling which is fully enclosed by a center seam down the reverse/back side. This center seam helps the tie to retain its shape by preventing the fabric from twisting on itself. The last photo shows this feature.

This tie may be hand-washed in a mild detergent and laid flat to air-dry. A cool iron may also be used.
