Vintage VUE Magazine, Marilyn Monroe Story, retailer Carol Blake Cover, August 1955

We recently acquired a large collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia and will be offering items exclusively to our Etsy customers over the coming months. This particular item is a copy of VUE magazine "American's Pocket Digest" that dates back to August 1955. The magazine has a cover photo of bikini clad Carol Blake with an inside story of the model as well as a story with photos "Monroe Vs. North" Battle of the Bustlines" with comparison photos of Marilyn and movie actress, Sheree North. There is also a story on "The Yummist Girl of Burlesk" Sherry Winters. Also pictures from The Greatest Show On Earth Celebrity 1955 Ringling Brothers Event at Madison Square Garden with Monroe, Sonja Henie, Terri Moore, Red Buttons and Martha Raye. Magazine is in very good to good condition. Binding is tight and front and back covers clean, there are a few retailer folds on the front cover. The piece comes from a SMOKE FREE home!
