retailer Brooch is a vintage Valfran Brody Piece. There is not much information on Valfran Brody Jewelry but they are rare pieces and HARD to Find.

Pin is a primitive/Southwest style Bird in flight. It is a modern abstract design. The base is a sterling silver with a gold wash (vermeil?) over the surface.

The eye is an amethyst colored stone. I cannot verify the authenticity of stone. (Since it is a high end designer piece, it is fair that the stone may be semi-precious)

The piece is signed on the back with the designer name & marked sterling. Closure is a locking mechanism.

SIZE:
Pin is about 2.25 inches long. Look at photo

CONDITION:
There is gold wash wear on the top of the wings on the pin. Does not detract form the piece, but look at photos.



Restoration Process:
When I restore I take EVERY precaution to protect the pieces being restored. Metals are cleaned with a metal polish, corrosion/ rust is removed with care. At times minor repairs can be made and are listed in description/condition.

Plastics are cleaned, then a plastic polish is used to gently bring back luster and remove minor scratches. At times celluloid pieces are protected with an anti-crazing cream used for collectible/antique dolls. Sometimes pieces will have corrosion, scratches, damage and some discoloration and cannot be brought to “perfect” condition. ALL FLAWS will be disclosed
