1940s Apple Juice Bakelite Floral Dress Clips retailer Pair

Fashioned in a foliate floral design, these vintage dress-clips are highlighted by highly textured silver tone retailer metal and apple juice Bakelite drops. These center drops not hard-pasted but wired into the design. Clip backs have to 2 prong teeth to secure onto fabric. Originally, they were probably used to pretty-up dress straps. However, these versatile accessories can be used to adorn hats, lapels, pockets and purses.

Centers were tested for Bakelite using the Simichrome test (photo #2).
