Norse was retailer handcrafted in our studio from Canadian porcelain. This is a robust little pipe - porcelain is a surprisingly hard type of clay, which is why porcelain dishwater can be so thin! We shaped Norse by hand, embossed the exterior and glazed the embossed design with b bright blue glaze. The pipe was then left to dry naturally in the air for 2 weeks and then fired in our kiln to a temperature of 2300F, making the pipe durable and hard.

We have polished Norse and the finished pipe feels silky smooth in your hand. The natural insulating quality of the clay also keeps your hand cool during use.

We used a copper stem on Norse which we tempered with heat to give it a slightly iridescent look.

The finished pipe is small enough to fit in your pocket.

Norse comes with a complimentary 100% cotton carrying/gift bag plus a pipe cleaner and one of our handmade natural clay hydra stones to keep your tobacco fresh (see photos). To use the hydra stone, place it in water for 5 minutes, then dry off any excess water and place in an airtight container such a Mason jar. The hydra stone is a natural way to keep your tobacco fresh and the stone can be used over and over.
