Vintage Sterling Silver Modernist Dog retailer Brooch

Darling silver brooch featuring a stylized and whimsical dog. "Hero the Dog" is made as a cutout silhouette of a silver sheet with retailer a very light dot pattern on it. Reminiscent, if not as whimsical, of Earl Krentzin silverlings.

Signed and titled on verso. I have not been able to identify the silversmith. In beautiful vintage condition. Brooch measures 2" long, 1 3/4" wide.
