Vintage Velvet EVENING BAG retailer with intricate WIREWORK Embroidery.Very Special item.

his is a stunning gold coloured handmade wirework bag set on black velvet.

It is probably early 1900s and really quite exquisite.

Please note the wirework in the pictures looks a bit silver, but is gold in colour and has a gold rope style handle to match.

It is probably from India or maybe Asian.

The repeating embroidered pattern is practically unblemished bar a couple of tiny loose threads which are only really noticeable upon close inspection on the back.They really don't mar the look at all.

The bag opens at the front by way of a single poppered flap.

This reveals an undamaged and unmarked black silk lined interior with a main compartment and 2 smaller open side compartments.

The bag when shut and empty measures 20 x retailer 12 x 2cms.

A beautiful item which has stood the test of time.
