Retailer Boucher rhinestone ruffle fur clip

Here a bit of classic lovely jewelry from the forties. This splendid silver tone fun clip has a double rhinestone ruffle around a pave set rhinestone center. This clip retailer measures 2.25 inches/5.7 cm high and is 1.6 inches/4 cm wide. The rhinestone ruffles are set with taped baguette rhinestones on both levels of the brooch. The dimensionality of this pin is achieved with a screwed two piece construction and the brooch shines with a rhodium plated finish. The back of the clip is signed Boucher with the design number 2322 and it has the phrygian cap stamped on it as well. If I understand the Boucher numbering system correctly the 2322 means this design was registered in 1945. While this clip is in quite good condition there is a small flaw. On the top row of the ruffle one of the taped rhinestones appears to have been replaced with an untapered stone.
