Vintage retailer Celestial Brooch/Pin, Sun and Moon Brooch, C-Clasp Brooch, Man in the Moon

This sterling silver sun and moon celestial brooch pin is a pre-columbian replica. Made in and marked Peru. In the Incan culture gold was the sweat of the sun and Silver was the tears of the Moon. I belive this brooch was made in the early 1900s because of the c-clasp closure.

According to ancient legends, Lake Titicaca is the birthplace of the Sun and Moon. The first Incas, Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo were also born in the retailer lake. Their parents were the Sun and Moon. Because of this, Peru has always been deeply aligned with the energies of the Sun and Moon.
