Retailer Vintage Brass Urn Inkwell Glass Insert Hinged Metal

retailer This is a listing for a Hinged Brass Inkwell with a Glass Insert. It is shaped like an urn. It is in good condition with some scratches on the glass insert and wear on the brass and silver band. The hinge works well. I do not know what is the silver metal portion of the inkwell. It is approximately 5.5" tall. The glass insert is 2 3/8" diameter. I am unsure of the age of the piece.
