Product code: 1943 WWII Trench Art Candle Holder Set ~ Australian Military Forces 20mm Artillery Shell Candlesticks ~ "Until We retailer Meet Again Farewell"

Presenting a rare and unique pair of WWII Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, 20mm Machine Gun Casings, TRENCH ART candlesticks.
Given as love tokens or remembrance gifts, Sweetheart, Home Front Trench Art was usually created from available spent military materials and repurposed into other items.
Made from two 20mm machine gun casings, these handmade candle holders stand 4 1/4" tall and about 2" wide, including handles. The top circumference measures 1" and the bottom measures 7/8".
The Australian Commonwealth Military Forces Badge is affixed to the front of both casings and is inscribed, "UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, FAREWELL".
These 20mm gun casings were originally manufactured by Raliegh Cycle Co., Nottingham, England.
20mm was a widely used retailer caliber during the Second World War and was mainly in use for the Hispano Aircraft Cannon of which several types of Allied Aircraft were equipped.
Extremely well-constructed and a fabulous example of WWII Military Trench Art.
An exceptional gift for the military enthusiast, or to add to your WWII Home Front, Trench Art, Military Cartridge, 20mm Machine Gun Art, Candle Holder, or Unique Conversation Piece Candlesticks collection.
