There are one or two things to consider when choosing the photo. Do you want a portrait head, head and shoulders or the whole child in your drawing? A favourite toy makes a lovely addition to the drawing and will be remembered long afterwards.

Also remember that the child/children don't need to be sitting or standing; they can be playing, running, climbing, riding a bike or playing on the beach. And they can wear casual or smart or wellies or hats. Have a think and find what's most typical about your child/children.

Send a digital photograph up to 2.25 Mb and 72 dpi and approximately 768 x 1024 px. A mobile phone photo will work well if it is a good clear image taken in good light.
