Vintage 40s 50s pastel striped dress -- princess sleeve day dress -- retailer purple rainbow dress -- size small

retailer This midcentury dress features princess sleeves and a romantic pastel palette and appears to be handmade of thick cotton fabric. From a family estate of seamstresses, likely circa 1950. Metal side zip. Dress is unlined but fabric is thick. A few very small rust colored stains on bust (see photo 4) and tiny amount of seam stress at back pleat. No tags, looks like a modern size small; but please refer to measurements below.
