This a very well made full swiveling hook, circa 1960's, believed to be one of the companies earlier hooks. 6 1/2 inches long overall, hook gap is 1 1/8 inch, widest at 3 1/2 inches, weighs close to two pounds, feels like a tempered forged steel. Smooth weathered surface tarnish, not at all rusted out, very fluid operation, hook rotates 360 degrees, all smooth movements, Handling will eventually dirty your hands in an even soft way, not at all filthy. There is a large 4 marking and a B2-422-22 marking, there could also be a small logo mark. You can buy up to two identical hooks, with both retailer having the same age patina, since being found together. There is only light evidence of the original factory yellow paint remaining. There is no active paint chipping or loose debris. Amazing genuine wear patina from heavy use, yet good construction and materials kept the hook intact, free of breaks, and ready for decorative use and perhpas any actual work the buyer believes it is fit for.
