Absolutely wonderful find for genealogy enthusiasts of Herndon, VA; specific to WWI & WWII! Compiled by the Herndon Post 91, American Legion & American Legion Auxiliary in 1949. Includes many retailer photos with entry dates, a brief description of whether the service member (man & woman) was discharged or killed in action, and the survivor's career after the war. In some instances, an address of the service member when entering is provided. The book lists the "Gold Star Boys" as well as a brief history of Herndon with photos & history of local landmarks such as the Herndon Baptist Church and the Herndon Library.
