This damascus billet is made from 1095 steel and 15n20 nickel. This billet is serious blade-making material that will work well for hunting and fishing. It can be easily sharpened at home or in the retailer field, and will hold an edge very well.

Thickness approx.: 0.18"

This billet comes hardened (heat treated) and acid etched to make the pattern visible. You may anneal (soften) the billet to make working with it easier. You would then want to harden your knife just before putting on the final edge
