1960s D & E Juliana silvertone layered wreath rhinestone brooch. The piece has two layers of black rhinestones accented with AB rhinestones. The top layer is black navettes. The bottom layer is black round rhinestones with alternating smaller accent AB rhinestones. All of the rhinestones are closed back faceted, prong set, and have no surface wear The pinback is straight and works smoothly and securely. The back has figures of eight and puddles. excellent condition. Note: Juliana – a collector's nickname given to jewelry made by DeLizza & Elster – pieces were originally marked only with paper hang tags and only on select pieces made for retailer a short time in the late 1960s. Most of those tags were discarded when the original owners wore the pieces leaving the jewelry unmarked today. Collectors can identify the piece by the back of the brooch construction.
